Kool? Wats good people?
I've never been to go with introductions but I'll give a go anyway. Obviously my name is Nayomi but what you may not know is that I'm 17 years old and I'm from north London. I guess I would say I'm an aspiring artist/singer (maybe not aspiring because like I'm already singing but you know, I aspire to be a sucessful singer). But yeah here's a short, well not story but history how I got this stage in my life.
For two years I've been thinking about making proper music... You know writing lyrics, making beats and recording vocals in the studio, you know doing it properly. But finally this year 2009 is the year where I'm getting my "bum" into studio and getting my "stuff" together (to be polite).
About six years ago I started writing lyrics. I'd write non- stop; love songs, poetry, bars even. I look back now and think I knew about things I was writing about; I mean some of it was really mature anyway.
Then about two/three years ago started learning how to make beats and record vocals and like it seem everything I loved, I was doing.
Around the same time, I came in to contact with a lot of people with same ambition. Although a lot of those people have already "retired". I mean have been in some bands/groups/collectives that seem to not gone any where and I guess really I should have brave enough to do my own thing and "do me" really.
Last year was just a really significant year though not musically but for me as person. 2008 was just really a testing; there was just so many trials and tribulations that I came across. And I think that will really show through the music in '09.
Currently I'm working with my family, my big bro Trey a.k.a. Kairo on an album/demo sort of thing. I don't know if we will ever be BIG or be famous but I know that as long as people get to hear me I don't care, lol.
